Summary:  Under supervision of the Administrative Services Lieutenant, this part-time, non-licensed position is primarily responsible for enforcement of parking ordinances and administrative activities. The position may also include assignment in clerical activities, which include record-keeping, taking of messages, computer data entry and citizen inquires.
This position is designed for those interested in a law enforcement career. Cadets will be provided with many opportunities and experiences.

This position is on a non-union wage scale with a starting wage at Step 1 of $68,218.47 and a maximum step of $88,684.00.

Summary:  The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Seasonal Community Police Officer. This is a temporary summer position with hours ranging from 26 – 40 hours per week. Specific duties of this temporary position will include local ordinance enforcement, foot and ATV patrol of Grand Haven City Beach, bicycle and foot patrol of downtown Grand Haven, traffic control during special events and other law enforcement duties as required.

Summary:  Public Safety Officer-Full Time (Police/Fire/EMS) Summary: Cross-trained position providing Police, Fire, and EMS Services to the community. MCOLES License or ability to activate MCOLES license required. Will provide fire and EMS training to the right candidate. Please note, step one on the pay scale for a fully cross trained PSO III is $26.68.
