To provide support for the operations of special events. The successful candidate should have outstanding written and verbal communication skills; including making phone calls.This person must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher & Outlook. This person should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with existing staff. Must be able to work independently, be able to complete tasks within given timelines and meet project deadlines. Must be resourceful and creative.
Special Event Staff will play a lead role in the following events:
Movies in the Park (Varies)
Soggy Doggy (May)
Opening Day of Baseball (June)
Teddy Bear Picnic (June)
Grandma, Me & Tea (June)
Splash into Summer (June)
Independence Fest (July 4)
Tons of Trucks/Kids Day in the Park (August)
Friendly Forest (October- if available)
Other events and projects as assigned.
• Create & update documents via Microsoft Word, Excel & Publisher
• Maintain databases
• Collate mailings, including confirmation packets to sponsors
• Make phone calls to vendors, sponsors, and customers
• Return phone/email messages
• Research projects as assigned
• Photocopy projects
• Design projects as assigned
• Place orders, make Deliveries & pick up supplies with local vendors
• Dress in costumes at designated events as needed
Flexible, but with a seasonal status of 40 hours per week for up to 6 months.
