This position transports senior citizens and disabled adults door-to-door to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, work and other locations as necessary. Driver hours and routes worked will be discussed during the interview.
• Work and interact with the public.
• Push people in wheelchairs up to four-hundred (400) pounds.
• Assist people on and off vehicle when needed.
• Lift bags of groceries or boxes of food for citizens.
• Work no more than 110 hours per month.
• Communicates regularly with dispatcher/front office regarding daily schedule (i.e.
changes and cancellations).
• Inspect vehicle that is assigned including tires, van fluid levels and overall safety.
Observe and report any concerns about general maintenance needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of buses inside and out.
• Attend transportation or staff meetings at center when conducted.
• Obtain and maintain CPR and AED Certification.
• Escort day trips when needed.
• Submits daily report and rider fees for deposit.
• Assists with Senior Center projects when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 – 2 years experience driving large vans and/or mini-bus
• Excellent driving record required.
Chauffeur’s license is required
• Ability to work and interact with senior citizens and disabled people.

It is mandatory that all Staff works at least one 8 hour shift on the 4th of July for Independence Fest. The job duty on this day will not reflect the duties of the above supervisor position.
