Position Summary
Park Rangers are responsible for the overseeing and assisting park patrons while full time staff has gone for the day. The duties are the general upkeep and cleanliness of the park, as well as work alongside other Township employees. The successful candidate must have communication skills, able to problem solve and work independently.

Qualifications
- Must have valid driver's license

- Must have exceptional customer service skills

- Must be first aid and CPR certified

- Must be able to operate small equipment


Shift Scheduling & Hours
Shifts vary, depending on day and season. Evening Rangers work approximately 4pm-11pm. Weekend shifts can be 7am-2pm or 2pm-11pm. Additional shifts may be added depending on availability and performance.

Park hours vary due to athletic schedules, rentals and other schedules activities within our Parks.

Part Time Rangers are limited to 110 hours per month.
Seasonal Rangers are limited to 40 hours per week for 5.5 months.


Independence Fest
It is mandatory that all Day Camp Staff works at least one 8 hour shift on the 4th of July for Independence Fest. The job duty on this day will not reflect the duties of the above supervisor position.

1.As a seasonal or part-time employee, of the Department, I agree to abide by the rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

2. I understand the physical demands of this position and if at any time during my employment, I am unable to perform the responsibilities as required, I will notify my supervisor immediately.

3. When employment is contingent on certain certifications, if for some reason I am unable to maintain current certificates, I will notify my employer immediately.

4. Employee staff meetings are a requirement of some positions and attendance may be mandatory.

5. Employees must wear issued uniform.

6. All keys and equipment issued must be returned prior to receipt of last check.

7. As a seasonal or part-time employee I understand:
a. My employment is limited to a specific season or activity and that there are no implied promises for returning to work for another season, activity or time period.
b. I understand that if a permanent position becomes available, I shall have no rights to that position greater than those of the general public.

8. I understand I must provide my Social Security Card and Driver’s License, or my Passport, or another approved I-9 document(s) prior to hire

9. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a background check.
