Position Summary
Position performs variety of skilled and unskilled tasks associated with maintenance of the Township’s grounds and facilities.You would be taking care of all mow sights for the Safety path and Sashabaw Corridor.
Position Description
Responsibilites
- Operates wide range of motorized and non-motorized equipment and tools, such as a zero turn mower, weed whipper, leaf blower and a utility cart.
- Performs inspections and maintenance on tools and equipment. Including, but not limited to, sharpenning mower blades, changing oil on equipment, etc.
- Keeps grounds immaculate by picking up sticks or any other debris.


Education/Experience/License/Certification
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of working with landscaping equipment.
- Ability to operate tractor, utility vehicle and mower.
- Ability to identify unsafe conditions and determine course of action to rectify situation.
- Ability to handle pressures relating to situations needing immediate attention.
- Ability to periodically lift, push or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as to climb/bend/stoop/crawl when performing custodial or maintenance functions.
