This is a one-week specialty camp running on 3/30, 3/31, 4/1, and 4/2.
To provide support for the Spring Break Day Camp program at Bay Court Park. The individual in this capacity has specific duties related to their job, in addition to the general rules, policies, procedures, and expectations of the Department.
Although every detail of the day-to-day job may not be included in this job description, the Counselor will be expected to perform the duties required to administer a successful summer that provides a positive experience for all participants. Keep in mind; enthusiasm and communication is key!

Positions Reporting to this Position: None
Must be at least 17 years of age, have a general understanding of the goals and objectives of Day Camp, ability to work with children to grow in character, experiences & insights, and have a winning way with campers.
•Responsible for a group of children during the entire day, including lunch.
•Responsible for special projects, performing duties or assignments given by the Director, Assistant Director, and Recreation Coordinator.
•Required to attend the Camp Staff Orientation.
•Responsible for reporting and documenting all injuries and discipline problems.
•Responsible for daily After-Care general procedures.
•Required to notify Recreation Coordinator immediately of any possible negligence or abuse of children.
•Required to be aware of proper emergency procedures and severe weather protocol, please refer to the employee handbook for detailed procedures.
•Responsible for following all health & safety protocols and procedures.
•Work with Recreation Coordinator on daily routines at camp.
•How to handle different circumstances in a camp environment.
•Be in communication with the Recreation Coordinator regarding any camp issues.
•Be in constant communication with your campers.
