Welcome to the City of Coon Rapids Online Permit Application portal

The City requires that homeowners making modifications to their homes, or Contractors performing construction work within the city, obtain appropriate permits before starting work.


Contractors will need to create an account on BS&A Online prior to applying. Note: If you already have an account on BS&A Online, you do not need to create another username. After you create an account, you'll need to link to our City using the unique PIN we'll provide to you. All Contractors must be licensed and bonded by Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.


Permits are required for Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical and other types of projects. If you are not sure if a permit is needed, you can find additional information on our website or call our Building Inspections Department at 763-767-6476. Please note that licensed contractors may be required for certain projects.
