Welcome to the City of Plymouth's online permit application page.
Online permitting is now available for the permits listed below. If you don't see the type of permit for your work, email your permit application to inspections@plymouthmn.gov for processing. In addition, online payment is also available for all permits.
If you are paying for a Water Meter permit or any permit with required plans, you must come into the Plymouth City Office to pick up your water meter or plans before you can schedule an inspection.
Building Department:
Contractors may apply and pay for the following simple residential permits online. Contractors must be registered with BS&A and can email inspections@plymouthmn.gov with your user name and email and we will link your account or call 763-509-5430. Contractors must have current state license information on file.
Engineering Division:
Contractors may apply and pay for the following engineering permits online. Contractors requesting to do work in the right-of-way must be registered with the engineering division and have current insurance information on file.

- Mechanical - A/C Replacement
- Mechanical - A/C and Furnace Replacement
- Mechanical - Furnace Replacement
- Mechanical - Gas Fireplace/Gas Line (for existing homes only, not new construction)
- Plumbing - Water Heater
- Plumbing - Water Softener
- Storage Tank - Residential (new construction only - 500 gallons or less)
- Tent - Residential
- Tent - Commercial
